Hide A Drive


How to hide a Drive??


Hello Friends!!!



If you want to hide some personal data then this trick is going to be very useful for you.


There are two ways to hide your drive: 

Using command prompt

Simply follow the Steps:

Step 1)
Open
 command prompt and type “diskpart”.
OR
Open Run window n type “diskpart” and press ok

Step 2)
type “list volume”.which will
 list all your all drives.

Step 3)
Select any partition which you want to hide by typing “select volume x(any number)”
For Example: if you want to hide partition number 2 then “select volume 2″ press enter.

Step 4)
now type “remove letter x(letter of your drive)” press enter.
example:  remove letter G
you are done!!



To show this drive :
repeat first 3 steps and then type “assign letter x(any letter)” and press enter
you’ve assign letter x to your drive





Alternative Method

Step 1)
Open run window and type “diskmgmt.msc” and press enter

Step 2)
right click on drive which you want to hide & select  ”change drive letter & paths..”

Step 3)
it will open a window with add,change
 and remove option
Simply click on “remove”.
Done!!
